- Verify patient eligibility and benefits before service rendering
- Resolve claim denials and account receivables through targeted follow-up
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA, CMS, and payer regulations
- Utilize Epic EMR and NextGen billing systems efficiently
- Generate monthly reports on denial trends and revenue performance
- Collaborate with clinical staff to document chargeable services
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Reimbursement Specialist (CMRS) or CPC credential required
- 2+ years of medical billing experience in physician practice setting
- Expertise in ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems
- Proficiency in claim scrubbing and denial resolution workflows
- Strong analytical skills for identifying billing discrepancies
