Responsibilities
- Accurately prepare and dispense prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Manage inventory control, including ordering, receiving, and stocking pharmaceutical supplies
- Provide exceptional customer service, answering patient inquiries and resolving concerns
- Maintain precise medication records and documentation in compliance with state regulations
- Process insurance claims and third-party billing efficiently
- Operate pharmacy technology including dispensing systems and inventory software
- Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and HIPAA regulations
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient medication regimens
Qualifications
- Current Oregon Pharmacy Technician license (PTCB or ExCPT certified)
- Minimum 1 year retail or hospital pharmacy experience
- Strong knowledge of prescription medications, dosage forms, and pharmaceutical calculations
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Proficient in pharmacy software (e.g., QS1, Rx30) and Microsoft Office
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Basic understanding of insurance claim processing and billing procedures
