Responsibilities
- Accurately prepare, label, and dispense prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Manage inventory control, including ordering, receiving, and stock rotation
- Process insurance claims and assist patients with third-party billing inquiries
- Maintain precise medication records and ensure compliance with state/federal regulations
- Provide exceptional customer service and medication counseling to patients
- Operate pharmacy dispensing technology and point-of-sale systems
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient care outcomes
Qualifications
- Active Ohio Pharmacy Technician license or eligibility
- Prior pharmacy technician experience preferred (6+ months)
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical terminology and HIPAA regulations
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in medication handling
- Proficient in pharmacy management software (e.g., QS1, Rx30)
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced retail environment
