Responsibilities
- Prepare and package prescription medications accurately and efficiently.
- Verify patient information and insurance coverage to ensure billing accuracy.
- Manage inventory levels, including receiving, stocking, and ordering pharmaceutical supplies.
- Assist the Pharmacist with compounding and preparing sterile products.
- Provide exceptional customer service by answering questions and resolving concerns regarding prescriptions.
- Ensure the pharmacy area is clean, organized, and compliant with health and safety regulations.
Qualifications
- Current Pharmacy Technician certification (CPhT) or registration in the state of Louisiana.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work weekends and holidays as required.
- Familiarity with pharmacy software systems (e.g., Rx30, McKesson) is a plus.
