Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacists in the compounding and dispensing of prescription medications with the highest level of accuracy.
- Manage inventory levels, including receiving shipments, stocking shelves, and monitoring expiration dates.
- Engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner, answering inquiries and resolving concerns.
- Verify prescription orders for completeness and accuracy prior to dispensing.
- Process insurance claims and handle cash transactions efficiently.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with health regulations.
- Assist in the preparation of intravenous (IV) medications under the direct supervision of a pharmacist.
Qualifications
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) required (must hold valid PTCB or ExCPT certification).
- Current and valid Ohio Pharmacy Technician license.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Familiarity with pharmacy management software systems is preferred.
