Responsibilities
- Prepare and package prescription medications under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Verify the accuracy of prescriptions, checking for drug interactions and patient allergies.
- Assist customers with prescription inquiries and provide exceptional front-end customer service.
- Manage inventory, including receiving shipments, stocking shelves, and maintaining accurate records.
- Process insurance claims and handle cash transactions with 100% accuracy.
- Assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and safe pharmacy environment in compliance with health regulations.
Qualifications
- Current PTCB or ExCPT certification (or eligibility to obtain one).
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience as a pharmacy technician is preferred but not always required for entry-level candidates.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent mathematical skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare professionals.
- Knowledge of pharmacy software systems is a plus.
