Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collection following strict protocols
- Process and label specimens accurately for laboratory analysis
- Maintain sterile equipment and infection control procedures
- Verify patient identity and prepare specimens for transport
- Document procedures and maintain electronic health records
- Provide patient education during specimen collection
- Collaborate with clinical team to ensure seamless workflow
Qualifications
- Current Phlebotomy Technician certification (ASCP, NHA, or equivalent)
- Minimum 6 months clinical phlebotomy experience
- Valid CPR certification
- Proficiency in HIPAA compliance and patient privacy protocols
- Excellent venipuncture skills for diverse patient populations
- Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
