Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary punctures on diverse patient populations
- Ensure proper specimen labeling, handling, and transportation protocols
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation systems
- Adhere to strict infection control and safety standards
- Provide exceptional patient care during blood collection procedures
- Collaborate with healthcare team for efficient workflow
- Operate and maintain phlebotomy equipment
Qualifications
- Active Phlebotomy Technician certification (ASCP, NHA, or equivalent)
- Minimum 1 year clinical phlebotomy experience
- Valid BLS/CPR certification
- Proficiency in HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality
- Excellent venipuncture techniques for all age groups
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Flexible availability including evenings/weekends
