Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collections following strict safety protocols
- Accurately label, process, and transport specimens to the laboratory
- Maintain detailed patient records and documentation using our electronic systems
- Ensure proper handling and disposal of biohazard materials per OSHA standards
- Provide patient education and support during blood draw procedures
- Collaborate with medical staff to optimize patient flow and efficiency
- Perform equipment calibration and quality control checks
Qualifications
- Current California Phlebotomy Technician certification (CPT or NCPT)
- Minimum 1 year of clinical phlebotomy experience
- Valid CPR certification (BLS for Healthcare Providers)
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA and OSHA compliance
- Excellent venipuncture skills with minimal discomfort to patients
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- Must pass background check and pre-employment drug screening
