Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood draws across diverse patient demographics
- Process and transport specimens according to CLIA and OSHA protocols
- Maintain accurate patient records and sample documentation
- Ensure sterile techniques and infection control compliance
- Provide exceptional patient care during high-volume collection periods
- Collaborate with lab staff for efficient workflow management
- Operate automated analyzers and point-of-care testing equipment
Qualifications
- Current California Phlebotomy Technician certification (CPT1 or CPT2)
- Minimum 1 year clinical phlebotomy experience
- BLS/CPR certification from recognized provider
- Proficiency in HIPAA compliance and medical terminology
- Exceptional venipuncture skills with difficult access expertise
- Strong attention to detail and specimen handling protocols
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments
