Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collections with precision and patient comfort
- Accurately label, process, and transport specimens to the laboratory
- Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA compliance and infection control standards
- Verify patient identity and prepare equipment for efficient draw procedures
- Document all procedures and patient information in electronic health records
- Collaborate with medical staff to ensure seamless patient flow
- Train on advanced techniques like pediatric and difficult-vein draws
Qualifications
- Current Phlebotomy Technician certification (ASPT or equivalent)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in venipuncture
- Valid BLS/CPR certification
