Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood draws following strict aseptic protocols
- Process and label specimens with precision using LIS systems
- Ensure accurate patient identification and specimen integrity
- Maintain sterile collection areas and equipment calibration
- Provide patient education during blood collection procedures
- Document all activities in compliance with HIPAA and CLIA standards
- Collaborate with lab staff for efficient workflow management
Qualifications
- Current Arizona Phlebotomy Technician certification (required)
- Minimum 6 months clinical phlebotomy experience
- Proficiency in venipuncture, capillary draws, and specimen handling
- Knowledge of HIPAA, OSHA, and CLIA regulations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Basic computer literacy with EMR/LIS systems
- Current BLS/CPR certification
