Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in medical/surgical units with emphasis on critical assessment and intervention
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders with precise documentation
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) using Epic systems
- Educate patients and families on health conditions and discharge protocols
- Adhere to HIPAA compliance and infection control standards
- Participate in rapid response team activations for emergency situations
Qualifications
- Active Massachusetts RN license (required)
- BSN degree preferred (ADN candidates with 2+ years experience considered)
- Minimum 1 year acute care experience in medical/surgical setting
- BLS and ACLS certifications (required)
- Proficiency in Epic EHR systems
- Strong critical thinking and emergency response skills
- Ability to work 24-32 hours/week (including weekends/evenings)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
