Responsibilities
- Assess patient health issues, needs, and recovery progress by performing comprehensive physical examinations and taking detailed medical histories.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care in collaboration with the healthcare team and the patient/family.
- Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols and physician orders.
- Monitor patient conditions continuously and promptly report any significant changes to the attending physician or charge nurse.
- Educate patients and their families on disease prevention, health maintenance, and post-treatment care.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in accordance with legal and regulatory standards.
Qualifications
- Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of New York (or compact state eligibility).
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or acute care setting preferred.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
