Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care in accordance with established clinical protocols and physician orders
- Administer medications, treatments, and immunizations with precision and safety
- Monitor patient vital signs and document electronic health records accurately
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans
- Educate patients and families on health conditions and self-management techniques
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and patient safety programs
- Respond to emergency situations with calm, evidence-based interventions
Qualifications
- Current Kentucky RN license (or compact state license) in good standing
- ACLS/BLS certification required (PALS preferred)
- Minimum 1 year acute care or specialty nursing experience
- Strong proficiency in electronic health record systems (Epic preferred)
- Excellent critical thinking and patient assessment skills
- Exceptional communication abilities for diverse patient populations
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively in teams
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
