Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and established safety protocols.
- Monitor patient vital signs and clinical status, promptly reporting any deviations to the charge nurse or physician.
- Provide patient education and emotional support to patients and their families regarding treatment plans and discharge instructions.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care in the electronic health record (EHR).
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
Qualifications
- Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Wisconsin.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical nursing experience preferred.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Proficiency in using electronic medical record systems.
