Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and monitor vital signs to ensure optimal health outcomes.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with hospital protocols and state regulations.
- Document patient care activities, symptoms, progress, and responses to treatment in electronic health records accurately and timely.
- Educate patients and their families on disease prevention, medication management, and post-care instructions.
- Collaborate with physicians and the multidisciplinary care team to develop and adjust patient care plans.
- Adhere to strict infection control policies and safety procedures to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.
- Respond to patient inquiries and emergencies with urgency and professionalism.
Qualifications
- Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Ohio.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical nursing experience preferred, though exceptional new graduates may be considered.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient advocacy.
- Ability to work independently while effectively functioning as part of a collaborative team.
- Proficiency in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems, such as Epic or Cerner.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, and lift patients as necessary.
