Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop individualized care plans based on clinical needs.
- Administer medications and treatments accurately, adhering to strict safety protocols and physician orders.
- Monitor patient vital signs and report any significant changes or adverse reactions immediately.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient progress and care interventions in the EHR system.
- Educate patients and their families on disease management, treatment plans, and health promotion strategies.
- Collaborate with physicians, pharmacists, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless continuity of care.
- Uphold a clean, safe, and therapeutic environment in compliance with all healthcare regulations.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse license in the District of Columbia.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) is required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical nursing experience preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient advocacy.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
- Demonstrated ability to remain calm and composed under pressure.
