Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans based on clinical guidelines.
- Administer medications and treatments accurately, ensuring all documentation is up-to-date and compliant with hospital standards.
- Monitor vital signs and patient conditions continuously, escalating concerns immediately to the nursing supervisor or physician.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient transitions and optimal outcomes.
- Educate patients and families regarding post-discharge care and health maintenance strategies.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and therapeutic environment in accordance with infection control protocols.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the District of Columbia.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical nursing experience preferred, though strong new graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and medical staff.
- Proficiency in electronic medical record systems (EMR) and computer literacy.
- Ability to work flexible shifts and weekends as required by departmental needs.
