Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms with sterile instruments, equipment, and supplies
- Assist surgeons during procedures with instrument passing and equipment handling
- Maintain sterile fields and enforce aseptic protocols
- Count sponges, needles, and instruments pre/post-procedure
- Transport patients and position them for optimal surgical access
- Clean, sterilize, and maintain surgical equipment
- Document procedures and maintain accurate surgical logs
Qualifications
- Accredited Surgical Technology program graduate
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
- Minimum 1 year OR experience preferred
- Ability to stand for prolonged periods and lift 50+ lbs
- Knowledge of sterile processing and sterilization techniques
- Strong attention to detail and critical thinking skills
- Current BLS certification
