Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms, sterilize equipment, and arrange surgical instruments
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and maintaining sterile fields
- Monitor inventory of surgical supplies and restock as needed
- Transport patients and specimens safely between departments
- Document procedural activities accurately in electronic health records
- Maintain compliance with OSHA and infection control protocols
Qualifications
- Current Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential
- Minimum 1 year recent OR experience in outpatient surgery setting
- BLS certification from AHA or equivalent
- Proficiency in sterilization techniques (steam, chemical, gas)
- Ability to stand 8+ hours and lift 50 lbs
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
- Availability for weekday shifts (7am-5pm)
