Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive telephone and video triage assessments for patients with acute and chronic conditions
- Provide evidence-based clinical recommendations and care instructions per established protocols
- Collaborate with physicians and care teams to coordinate patient transitions of care
- Document accurate and detailed electronic health records in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Manage high-volume call queues while maintaining exceptional patient satisfaction scores
- Identify and escalate high-acuity cases to emergency services or appropriate providers
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives and protocol development
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Texas (TX) with minimum 3 years clinical experience
- BLS/ACLS certification required; TNCC or ENPC preferred
- Proven experience in emergency medicine, urgent care, or telephone triage
- Exceptional critical thinking and decision-making abilities
- Proficiency with EHR systems and telehealth technology
- Strong communication skills with ability to de-escalate anxious patients
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively in a virtual team environment
- Spanish bilingual skills highly desirable for Houston population
