Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms and surgical instruments for procedures, ensuring strict sterility.
- Assist surgeons and nursing staff during operations by passing instruments and materials.
- Maintain accurate counts of sponges, needles, and instruments before, during, and after procedures.
- Monitor and manage the inventory of surgical supplies to prevent shortages.
- Ensure a clean, organized, and safe environment throughout surgical activities.
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or equivalent certification required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- 1-3 years of experience in a surgical setting preferred.
- Strong knowledge of aseptic techniques and sterilization procedures.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights.
