Responsibilities
- Maintain sterile environments in operating rooms during surgical procedures
- Prepare and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment according to protocol
- Assist surgeons with instrument passing and sterile draping
- Monitor inventory of surgical supplies and restock as needed
- Document equipment maintenance and sterilization processes
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for efficient case turnover
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or equivalent required
- Minimum 1 year of surgical tech experience preferred
- Current BLS certification from AHA
- Knowledge of sterile processing standards (AAMI/ANSI)
- Ability to stand for extended periods in fast-paced environments
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed
