Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms by sterilizing equipment and arranging surgical instruments
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and maintaining sterile fields
- Monitor inventory levels of surgical supplies and restock as needed
- Transport patients to/from operating rooms and position them appropriately
- Document procedural activities accurately in electronic health records
- Adhere to OSHA and infection control protocols
- Collaborate with anesthesia and nursing teams for coordinated patient care
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or equivalent certification required
- Minimum 1 year of recent surgical tech experience
- Knowledge of sterile processing and sterilization techniques
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced surgical environments
- Strong attention to detail and exceptional hand-eye coordination
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
