Responsibilities
- Prepare and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment in compliance with OSHA standards
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and maintaining sterile fields
- Monitor inventory and restock operating rooms with necessary supplies
- Document surgical cases accurately in electronic health records
- Collaborate with RNs and anesthesia teams to ensure seamless patient care
- Maintain strict aseptic technique throughout all procedures
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or equivalent certification required
- Minimum 1 year recent OR experience in acute care setting
- BLS/CPR certification from AHA or equivalent
- Knowledge of sterile processing protocols and instrumentation
- Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends and on-call
- Strong communication skills and ability to function in fast-paced environments
- Background check and drug screen required
