Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms by sterilizing equipment and arranging sterile fields
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and supplies
- Maintain sterile environments and enforce aseptic techniques
- Count surgical instruments and supplies before/after procedures
- Transport patients and specimens safely and efficiently
- Document procedural activities in electronic health records
- Coordinate with sterile processing department for instrument reprocessing
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or equivalent credential required
- Minimum 1 year of recent OR experience in surgical specialties
- BLS/CPR certification with current renewal date
- Proficiency in sterile processing and instrument handling
- Ability to stand for extended periods (4+ hours)
- Strong attention to detail and critical thinking skills
- Flexibility to work day/evening shifts (20-28 hrs/week)
