Responsibilities
- Preparation: Prepare operating rooms, sterilize equipment, and ensure all surgical instruments are ready for procedures.
- Surgical Assistance: Assist surgeons during operations by passing instruments and maintaining a sterile field.
- Patient Care: Monitor patient vitals and ensure patient safety and comfort throughout surgical procedures.
- Inventory Management: Count and verify surgical supplies and instruments to ensure accurate stock levels.
- Documentation: Accurately record surgical data, including procedures and patient information.
- Infection Control: Strictly adhere to all hospital protocols regarding sterilization and hygiene standards.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification required.
- Licensure: Active Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Experience: Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a hospital or surgical center setting.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and anatomy.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods and lift equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in a high-stress environment.
