Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain sterile surgical fields and equipment
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and supplies
- Ensure proper sterilization of instruments and equipment per OSHA standards
- Count sponges, needles, and instruments before/after surgeries
- Prepare patients for procedures and transport safely between departments
- Document all perioperative activities accurately
- Maintain inventory of surgical supplies and restock as needed
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or equivalent certification required
- Minimum 1 year OR experience preferred
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Knowledge of sterile processing standards
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Flexibility to work day/evening/weekend shifts
- Pass background check and drug screening
