Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain sterile surgical environments, ensuring OSHA compliance
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and supplies
- Anticipate procedural needs and maintain sterile fields
- Handle surgical specimens for laboratory processing
- Operate specialized equipment including endoscopic and robotic systems
- Perform equipment sterilization and inventory management
- Document procedural activities in electronic health records
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
- Minimum 1 year recent surgical tech experience preferred
- Knowledge of sterile processing and infection control protocols
- Ability to stand for extended periods in fast-paced settings
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Current BLS certification
- Flexibility to cover various surgical specialties
