Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms, instruments, and sterile supplies for surgical procedures
- Assist surgeons during operations by passing instruments, sutures, and sterile supplies
- Maintain strict aseptic techniques and sterile field integrity
- Handle surgical specimens for laboratory processing
- Operate sterilization equipment and monitor equipment functionality
- Document procedure details and inventory usage accurately
- Collaborate with RNs and anesthesia teams for seamless patient care
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or equivalent certification required
- Minimum 1 year of surgical tech experience in outpatient setting
- Knowledge of sterile processing and sterilization validation
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift 25+ lbs
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems
