Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality patient care in acute care settings including ICU, ER, and Telemetry units
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders
- Monitor patient vitals and document electronic health records accurately
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop patient care plans
- Assess patient needs and implement evidence-based nursing interventions
- Maintain compliance with JCAHO and facility-specific protocols
- Provide patient education and discharge planning support
Qualifications
- Active RN license in the state of Kentucky or compact state
- Minimum 2 years of acute care nursing experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications required (PALS preferred)
- Proficiency in EMR systems (Epic/Cerner preferred)
- Strong critical thinking and assessment skills
- Ability to adapt quickly to new healthcare environments
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Flexibility to work 24-32 hours weekly across various shifts
