Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough telephone and virtual patient assessments to determine urgency of care needs
- Provide expert medical guidance and triage recommendations per established protocols
- Document patient interactions accurately in EMR systems with meticulous attention to detail
- Collaborate with physicians and clinical staff to coordinate patient care pathways
- Manage patient flow and prioritize cases based on clinical acuity
- Delicate patient education on home care, follow-up, and preventive measures
- Maintain strict HIPAA compliance and confidentiality standards
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Florida (or compact state)
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in ER, urgent care, or telehealth setting
- BLS certification with ACLS preferred
- Exceptional critical thinking and decision-making abilities
- Superior communication skills with diverse patient populations
- Proficiency in electronic medical records (EPIC preferred)
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Availability to work rotating weekends and holidays
