Responsibilities
- Assess incoming patient calls to determine medical urgency and appropriate care level
- Provide clear, compassionate guidance to patients via telephone and telehealth platforms
- Collaborate with physicians and care teams to coordinate patient flow and interventions
- Maintain accurate electronic health records with detailed clinical documentation
- Educate patients on symptom management, home care instructions, and preventive measures
- Adhere to established triage protocols and departmental quality standards
Qualifications
- Current California RN license in good standing
- Minimum 2 years clinical nursing experience (emergency/urgent care preferred)
- BLS certification; ACLS and PALS strongly preferred
- Exceptional critical thinking and decision-making abilities
- Strong communication skills with diverse patient populations
- Proficiency in electronic health record systems (EPIC preferred)
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively in team settings
