Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough telephone and in-person patient assessments to determine appropriate level of care urgency
- Accurately document patient encounters using EMR systems while maintaining strict HIPAA compliance
- Collaborate with physicians and clinical staff to develop patient care plans and coordinate services
- Provide clear, compassionate health education to patients and families regarding treatment options
- Manage patient flow efficiently during peak hours while maintaining quality standards
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives and staff training programs
Qualifications
- Current California RN license with active BLS certification
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in emergency or urgent care settings
- Proficient in telephone triage protocols and critical decision-making
- Strong documentation skills with EMR system experience (Epic preferred)
- Excellent communication abilities with diverse patient populations
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with interdisciplinary teams
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
