Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough telephone and in-person patient assessments to determine acuity level
- Accurately document patient histories and symptoms in EMR systems
- Collaborate with physicians and clinical staff to prioritize patient care
- Provide clear medical guidance to patients regarding treatment options
- Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA and facility protocols
- Manage patient flow during peak hours to optimize wait times
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and training programs
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Texas (TX)
- Minimum 2 years emergency or urgent care experience
- BSN or Associate's degree in Nursing (BSN preferred)
- ACLS and BLS certifications required
- Strong triage assessment skills using ESI protocols
- Exceptional communication and decision-making abilities
- Proficiency with Epic EMR systems
- Ability to work independently in fast-paced environments
