Responsibilities
- Assess patient symptoms via phone triage to determine urgency and appropriate care level
- Provide accurate medical advice per established protocols
- Document all interactions in Epic EMR system with precision
- Collaborate with physicians and care teams for complex cases
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and NY state regulations
- Manage high-call-volume periods with exceptional efficiency
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active NY RN license (required)
- Minimum 2 years ER or urgent care experience
- Advanced Life Support (ALS/BLS) certification
- Excellent communication and critical thinking skills
- Proficiency in electronic health records
- Ability to work independently in fast-paced settings
- Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
