Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for dental procedures and assist dentists during treatments
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) with precision
- Perform sterilization and instrument maintenance protocols
- Manage patient records and digital charting systems
- Coordinate appointment scheduling and patient flow
- Provide post-operative instructions and follow-up care
- Maintain a clean, organized, and OSHA-compliant operatory
Qualifications
- Current Dental Assistant certification or X-ray license in Louisiana
- Minimum 2 years of clinical dental assisting experience
- Proficiency in Eaglesoft or dental practice management software
- Strong knowledge of infection control and sterilization techniques
- Excellent communication and patient rapport skills
- CPR certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days)
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
