Responsibilities
- Assess patient symptoms via phone triage using standardized protocols
- Provide accurate medical advice and prioritize urgent cases
- Collaborate with physicians and specialists for complex cases
- Document patient interactions meticulously in EMR systems
- Coordinate care transitions between departments and facilities
- Educate patients on home care and follow-up procedures
- Maintain strict HIPAA compliance and confidentiality standards
Qualifications
- Active California RN license (required)
- Minimum 2 years ER or urgent care experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications (must be current)
- Exceptional critical thinking and assessment skills
- Strong telehealth triage experience preferred
- Proficiency in Epic EMR systems
- Ability to work independently in high-stress environments
- Spanish bilingual skills highly desirable
