Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments via phone and telehealth triage systems
- Accurately prioritize cases based on acuity and urgency using clinical judgment
- Collaborate with physicians and care teams to coordinate patient care pathways
- Document patient interactions and medical histories in EMR systems with precision
- Provide clear, empathetic communication to patients and family members
- Monitor and respond to changes in patient conditions per protocol
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Texas (TX)
- Minimum 2 years triage or emergency nursing experience
- BLS/ACLS certification (current)
- Proficiency in Epic or similar EMR platforms
- Exceptional critical thinking and decision-making skills
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities
- Ability to work independently in a high-volume setting
