Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough telephone and in-person patient assessments using standardized triage protocols
- Prioritize patient cases based on medical urgency and acuity levels
- Provide clear, empathetic communication to patients and families regarding care plans
- Collaborate with physicians and clinical staff to coordinate patient flow
- Document all interactions accurately in EMR systems following HIPAA guidelines
- Identify high-risk cases and initiate appropriate emergency response protocols
- Maintain precise records of patient encounters and resource allocation
Qualifications
- Current Hawaii RN license (unrestricted)
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in emergency or urgent care setting
- BLS/ACLS certification required; PALS preferred
- Proficient in EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner)
- Exceptional critical thinking and decision-making abilities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently in fast-paced environment
- Experience with telehealth triage technologies preferred
