Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments via phone or telehealth platforms to determine the urgency of medical needs.
- Provide accurate medical advice and triage instructions based on established protocols and clinical guidelines.
- Document patient interactions and care plans meticulously in the EMR system.
- Coordinate referrals to appropriate specialists or urgent care facilities when necessary.
- Educate patients on preventative health measures and medication management.
- Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA regulations and privacy standards.
- Collaborate with physicians and nursing staff to ensure continuity of care.
Qualifications
- Active and unencumbered RN license in the state of California.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS certification required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a clinical or triage setting preferred.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to de-escalate patient concerns effectively.
- Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) and computer systems.
- Ability to work independently while adhering to strict protocols.
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is a plus.
