Responsibilities
- Assess and prioritize patient inquiries via phone and electronic health records to determine appropriate level of care.
- Provide medical advice and guidance according to established protocols and physician orders.
- Coordinate patient appointments, referrals, and follow-up care seamlessly.
- Document patient interactions accurately and promptly in the EMR system.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
- Stay updated on clinical guidelines and best practices in triage protocols.
Qualifications
- Current, valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of California.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a clinical setting, with specific triage experience preferred.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS certifications required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and make quick, sound clinical decisions.
- Proficient with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
