Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive telephone and video triage assessments for patients of all ages.
- Assess symptoms, determine urgency, and provide appropriate medical advice or referrals to the appropriate care level.
- Document all patient interactions and clinical findings accurately in electronic health records (EHR).
- Collaborate closely with physicians and advanced practice providers to ensure seamless patient care continuity.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations and company protocols.
- Manage high call volumes while maintaining a calm and professional demeanor.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and staff meetings.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Texas.
- Minimum of 1-3 years of clinical experience in a triage, urgent care, or emergency room setting.
- Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) required.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to de-escalate tense situations effectively.
- Proficient in using electronic health record systems (Epic, Cerner, or similar).
- Ability to work independently and make sound clinical judgments under pressure.
- Experience with telehealth platforms is highly preferred.
