Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms by sterilizing equipment and arranging surgical instruments
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and maintaining sterile fields
- Handle specimens for laboratory analysis and maintain accurate documentation
- Operate sterilization equipment and monitor infection control protocols
- Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure efficient workflow and patient safety
- Manage inventory of surgical supplies and equipment
- Participate in continuing education to maintain certification
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- No prior surgical tech experience necessary – paid training provided
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain sterile environments
- Basic computer skills for documentation systems
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds
- CPR certification required (will be provided if needed)
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Commitment to completing the 6-month paid training program
