Responsibilities
- Assess Patient Needs: Utilize your clinical expertise to evaluate incoming patient calls and determine the acuity level of the situation.
- Provide Care Guidance: Offer appropriate medical advice, triage instructions, and symptom management strategies based on established protocols.
- Documentation: Accurately and efficiently document all patient interactions, assessments, and care plans within our Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
- Facilitate Care: Coordinate referrals to urgent care facilities, specialists, or home health services when necessary.
- Protocol Adherence: Ensure all triage decisions align with current clinical guidelines, state regulations, and hospital policies.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Kentucky (or compact state eligibility).
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, with specific experience in triage, telehealth, or urgent care setting.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey complex medical information clearly and empathetically.
- Technology: Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR/EHR) and computer systems.
