Responsibilities
- Conduct rapid patient assessments using Emergency Severity Index (ESI) protocols
- Provide clinical guidance via phone triage for ambulatory patients
- Collaborate with physicians to prioritize emergency cases
- Document patient encounters in Epic EHR system
- Coordinate patient flow between ED units and specialists
- Implement infection control and safety protocols
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active RN license in California (CA RN)
- Minimum 2 years emergency department experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Proficiency in Epic EHR system
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication abilities in English and Spanish preferred
- Ability to work 20-24 hours per week across 3-4 shifts
