Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough telephone triage assessments to determine patient acuity and urgency of care needs
- Provide expert clinical guidance to patients regarding symptoms, medications, and home care instructions
- Collaborate with physicians and care teams to coordinate patient transfers and expedite critical care pathways
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) with detailed documentation of all patient interactions
- Educate patients on appropriate healthcare resources and preventive care measures
- Adhere to strict HIPAA compliance protocols and maintain patient confidentiality standards
Qualifications
- Active RN license in the state of Florida (or compact license)
- Minimum 2 years of emergency room or urgent care nursing experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications with current renewal status
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic preferred) and telehealth triage platforms
- Exceptional critical thinking and decision-making abilities under pressure
- Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated empathy and cultural competence
- Ability to work flexible shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays
