Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture, capillary draws, and specimen collection with minimal patient discomfort
- Verify patient identity and prepare specimens for laboratory testing
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Ensure proper handling, labeling, and storage of blood samples
- Operate and maintain phlebotomy equipment safely
- Provide patient education during blood collection procedures
- Adhere to OSHA safety protocols and infection control standards
Qualifications
- Current Phlebotomy Technician certification (ASCP or equivalent)
- Minimum 1 year clinical phlebotomy experience
- CPR/BLS certification required
- Excellent venipuncture skills on diverse patient populations
- Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced healthcare settings
- Valid Ohio driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
