Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments to evaluate symptoms and determine medical acuity levels.
- Make critical triage decisions to prioritize patient flow and facilitate timely referrals to physicians or specialists.
- Accurately document patient history, chief complaints, and treatment plans in the electronic health record (EHR).
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and medical staff to coordinate seamless care transitions.
- Provide clear patient education regarding symptoms, follow-up care, and preventive health measures.
- Maintain strict adherence to hospital protocols, HIPAA regulations, and safety standards.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of California.
- Certification in BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) required.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in triage, emergency room, or urgent care settings.
- Strong decision-making skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
